21st Century Republicans: The Murder Party

At the top of the long list of why Republicans suck worse than they ever have is the fact that they think rape is awesome. Leading up to the 2012 elections, GOP Senate candidate Richard Mourdock said that pregnancies resulting from rape are “a gift from God.”

Tea Party creep Todd Akin took it a step further, explaining that in cases of legitimate rape, a woman's body has a way of magically identifying the fetus as a rapebaby and “shutting the whole thing down.” The problem with that explanation, of course, is that it is rooted in a controversial new field of medical study known as “made up shit with no basis in real science.”

But let's go back to rape being a gift from God. The general idea here is that everything that happens to anybody is “meant” to happen, no matter how awful it is. Whether you're religious or not, it's important to note that no actual Christian believes this insane shit.

The idea of rape being part of God's plan directly contradicts a fundamental Judeo-Christian concept: God gives everyone free will. This includes criminals, who will sometimes choose to use their free will to do horrible shit that God is not into. So the normal Christian view of how something as horrible as rape is possible in a universe where a benevolent God exists is simple: God gives a rapist the same free will that we all enjoy; it doesn't mean that He mandated for a rape to happen.

But let's pretend all Christians are this insane, or that Richard Mourdock's special link to his rapegod allows him to know things the rest of us don't. His viewpoint would, by default, also make him pro-murder.

Murder is the only crime comparable to rape in its heinousness and its ability to completely destroy a human being. Many people would argue that rape is worse than murder, as it leaves its victims mercilessly alive to try to process the horrors done to them. So if Republicans really believe that rape is a gift from God, they cannot logically turn around and say that murder is not also a gift.

Served.

Of course, this may all be a moot point. We're only talking about cases of legitimate murder here, and from what I understand, that's really rare. In cases of legitimate murder, the human body has a way of trying to shut that whole thing down. Namely, by dying.

  1. Hmmm...more typical liberal bullshit from a tree-hugging liberal pushing his Godless liberal agendas. I simply cannot believe how you can live with yourself with such an ignorant mind occupying your cranium.

Let's start off with "rape" as you left-wingers put it. In all honesty, there really is no such thing as rape. "Rape" is considered sexual intercourse that is not consensual, and therein lies the flaw: God deems all sex consensual because sex is for reproduction ONLY. If a woman does not give consent for sex, she is just as much at fault as the man, much like Eve was in the Garden of Eden, except the woman was COMPLETELY at fault in that case. If it was in God's plan to have sex at that particular time and place, then it must be so. Maybe if Eve hadn't given in to her desire and eaten the forbidden fruit, we wouldn't have this discussion. "Rape" is justified punishment for the selfish acts of an inferior gender.

About your comments on Todd Akin claiming that a woman's body has a way of "shutting the whole thing down," you need to get your facts straight and read a book or one. The Bible clearly states that a woman's body has "the ability to develop an anti-semen venom type substance to counteract the fertilization process." I have personally tried this so-called "raping" several times, and each time the woman told me she NEVER got pregnant. A few of them gained a considerable amount of weight in a few months, but I told them they were getting too fat and that gluttony was a sin and frowned upon by God, so I had them go on strict diets and they thinned out in no time.

And how could rape NOT present "gifts from God?" What's the worst outcome of this situation? Life? I guess you live in a world where a beautiful newborn is a terrible thing, Mr. Sandusky, assuming that is your name.

And by the way, I AM Republican, but I am NOT pro-murder, except in the case of homosexuality.

  2. Hi, Mr. Oglestark, and thanks for your feedback. One of the things I love most about America is free speech, and I would be a real worthless piece of fuck if I denied you yours. A lot of this is a simple matter of definition, and small differences in worldview. I wouldn't be very American if I simply discounted your opinion like an asshole. So can I say that you are WRONG about rape being good? No. I can only say that I BELIEVE that rape is wrong. There is a difference, and recognizing and accepting that difference is what allows the left and right to keep the lines of dialogue open.

    In closing, go fuck yourself.
